ABOUT/
Dave Willard has been involved with making music for over 13 years. Dave
graduated with honors in 2005 from William Paterson University
with a BM in Sound Engineering Arts. He is both a knowledgeable guitar
player and sound engineer. In his years of performing, Dave has been on
the stages of Mexicali Blues, the Lion's Den, the Underscore, and
BB King's, to name a few. These days you can find him playing on stage
with his newest cover band The Big Fat Phoneys. He has also just begun
freelance work as a sound engineer, and has recorded tracks with NJ bands
such as Boss Relief, Ice Titan, Akidis, National Forge and Foundry, Waha
Fire and Buzz Universe.
Dave works well with underground bands because he understands their needs,
concerns, and musical goals. Afterall, he himself has been a musician
on "the other side of the glass". Dave takes the time to get
to know the musicans he works with and their music and brings in his professional
knowledge of recording to help bands and musicians sound their best. Dave's
experience as a recording engineer was broadened afrer he spent 2 years
working for an ad agency developing and recording jingles, recording voice
overs, and mixing for radio and television.
While Dave is still busy working as a freelance audio engineer he has
also seen a large increase in his guitar student clientel. He maintains
a schedule of over 25 students per week between his own private students
and the Paul Green School of Rock Music in Long Valley, NJ. His likable
personality and more than 8 years of guitar teaching experience have made
Dave a desireable guitar teacher to study with.
